Re: pro exotics burns down

Personally have been there & done that.

in 1994 our house burned down, I had a massive record collection, some records worth over $500 each.

The homeowners insurance labeled them as obsolete, and valued them at 50 cents per record. When I tried to challenge it, they asked why I didn't have "those albums" on Compact Disk!!

in reality most of those "should" have been listed as "antiques" or collectables at the very least!

I hate dealing with insurance companies.

Re: pro exotics burns down

me too! right now we're dealing with ICBC. the car insurance company who has the monopoly here in BC, no competition at all. They don't care who's fault it is, just who's insurance policy costs them LESS $$, whoever's policy saves them the cash is who is judged to be at fault. Unless of course you can afford a high priced lawyer experienced in fighting ICBC.

Re: pro exotics burns down

from the PER staff
Chad, Robyn, Andy, Nicci, Jimmy, the entire staff at Pro Exotics Reptiles are overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support from the reptile community after our recent fire. We have suffered a total loss of our snake collection, and 97% devastation to our business. 20 years of passion and work has been erased in a moment. We face a long and hard road back to success.

We have received offers of aid, fundraising, cards of support, emails and calls from around the world. Unfortunately we are not in a position to accept any animals or caging at this time, we have literally no place to put them, our building is gone. If you would like to make a donation or show of support through these organized efforts online, we would bow our heads and so graciously accept them. The reptile community has simply been amazing. We deeply appreciate each of you, and we know that in the future, we will pay it forward.

In our darkest moment, the reptile community has provided a strong beacon of light and hope. Thank you so much. THANK YOU. -Robyn@ProExotics

also another survivor, juvenile mandarin rat snake

hatchings!

its not much, but its a start, if you have a fb and feel like donating, here's your chance

Re: pro exotics burns down

So sad to hear about this. I was just looking at their collection of IJJ carpets a little over a week ago and thinking about getting one.
