The analogy stems from taking something small (one off colour post) and blowing it up into something substantially larger.(the whole forum hates me)

Re: Lucky say's Hello
Maybe if she came back, apologized, and reposted maturely, a ban lift would be worth it. But I doubt that would happen. ;/ I just feel a bit bad for lucky, that their new owner is so stuborn as to not take advice from all the people here. I got set straight on a few things when I first joined. Not because I was intentionally doing anything wrong, but because I read, or was told, bad information and believed it. After compairing many different sources, most of which came from this forum, I was able to set myself straight. Now, instead of going to google to look something up, I'll just search the threads. :P I never rememeber getting overly defensive. ;/ Been a dramaic day here~

Re: Lucky say's Hello
Some people will always take advice as criticism no matter how nicely it is put across, these are the people you leave in your past and move on.

This is true... however as someone who aspires to be a future police officer I really don't believe people such as this should be in that field of work... you can't be defensive at all times while working you need to let things roll off your shoulder or else you will end up doing something you will regret...
just my two cents..

Re: Lucky say's Hello
Lol @ armed bipolars. Ain't that the truth. I can just see what's going on in the field someone is getting a ticket because someone let themselves get mad about what someone said in a post on a forum.

sorry Guys, just want to get this question out since it is a little bit related. my BP soaks for 1.5 days when she is in shed is this normal or do i have to check for mites?
also, any tips on checking for mites it is so difficult to see them with all the dark patterns in my BP.

Re: Lucky say's Hello
if your python is pretty much only soaking pre-shed, there shouldn't be an issue. a good way to see if your snake has mites is to use paper towel as a substrate for a while. it's great for seeing tiny black moving specks.
and look down the whole bottom along the ventral scales, mites love to go there.

Re: Lucky say's Hello
Another way fo checking for mites is to take a damp white flannel or some kitchen paper and rub the snake down - you will see the mites clearly against the white background.
I agree with the above tho - if he is only soaking pre shed then you have no worries - we have a humid hide in with our snakes and they tend to use that pre shed rather than the water bowl - it just a hide filled with damp sphagnum moss.
