You have to go back to "manage your herps" to assign one to an enclosure after you create it.

ah ok, but when I went back to the herp screen, the enclosure part was still non accessible?? at least I think it was lol, I'll have to check it out when I get home.
I too found those icons on my desktop... what are they? and can they be moved?

The foxuser.dbf and foxuser.fpt are two files that keep the user settings (like screen resolution, etc.). They are automatically created whenever the software is launched. So you can easily delete them. THIS IS NO SPYWARE, but they are 2 files that are created automatically by the programming environment that I use.
I will make sure that in the next version, they are no longer on the desktop. But don't worry, they are totally harmless.
Concerning the link between enclosures and herps:
First, create your enclosures, then go back to the herp screen, you can now assign an enclosure to your herp. If you go back now to the enclosure screen, you will see that if you click on that enclosure, the name of your herp is listed in the listbox.
Cheers
LotusE

Hey LotusE,
Thanks. I was never worried about spyware I just wanted to make sure I didn't trash my entries by removing them before backing up my data.
Crazyboy, basically that is what I did, just assigned (babies) after the latin name to keep it descriptive.
