Before all this arguing, I dont think a single american had even the slightest clue that Canada has helped us in a war. They probably showed up after it was over then the president desided that he felt sorry for them and told them that we couldn't have did it without them, so they wouldnt think they wasted the trip overseas. I don't even think that Canada is in the history books for fighting in any wars. Except the one against france or england or whoever they 'fought' for freedom. My biggest problem with you people is that you take credit for burning the white house

Apparently you Americans need a history lesson.
Canada was fighting in World War II LONG before America got involved. Canada entered the war on September 10, 1939. (I remember that date because it's my daughter's birthday.) America didn't get involved at all until much later (November 1940). That's a year and two months after the war started! So don't say we never backed America up. It's the other way around.
As for World War I, Canada was a commonwealth nation at that point, and thus we had to join the war at the exact moment Britain did. Which also means we were dying on the battlefield long before the states even knew there was a war going on.
We also got fully involved in the Gulf War.
Read a book. You find lots of interesting things in them.

Your opinion of the president SUCKS!!! i'm american and the 2 things you posted about i COMPLETELY disagree with. Abortion should be legal(i have my reason which i don't feel like stating cause it would take foreverand this isn't the proper place) And Pot should be legal. have you even seen the studies they have done. (apperently not!!!) they say people that cause wrecks that are high and that was the reason they wrecked HAAAAAAAAAAAA they also didn't tell you thier Blood Alcohol level was over the legal limit. Their trying to blame the wrecks on weed when it was freaking alcohols fault. I don't care what anyone says alcohol is way worse that weed. And nobody can change my mind on that EVER!!!!!!
Sorry had to vent that out. Anyway happy birthday to us americans and our freedom to say whatever the f@$# we want. LOL

Look here...... America is great and any country that backs us up or is allied with us is great and I have the same respect for them as I do my fellow americans....... America is strong because we have many friends including Canadians and Brits...... Nuff said on that...... Happy 4th people....... Hey the only reason I aint in Canada today is because of of the 4th...... But I will be there tomorrow.....LOL

Chris Steele you better watch it man, thats REALLY offencive that you say Canada did nothing in the wars. As Invictus said...we were the first into WW2, we lost many many thousands of soldiers and its like your saying that all those lives were worth nothing. Apart from that we have been in WW1,WW2, kuwait and about 3-5 others not to mention, yeah thats right, were the peace keepers, the guys who go in after you have p!ssed off an entire country and help out those people who have had their legs blown off. You made a wrong move sayin that dude....

As for your question of wars that Canada has helped in... The Boer War (did the USA even show up for this one?), WWI (from the start, not a few years later after playing merchant), WWII (again from the start, not after playing merchant and being forcefully dragged in be an attacking country), Korean War, plus countless police actions and clean ups after wars.
Wars we've sat out on... Spanish-American war, Vietnam (the second war that the usa lost) and the second gulf war.
Wars Canada has started... this is a very short list because there aren't any.
