Adrian.... Is the little guy starting to calm down at all?
I couldn't figure out how to answer that but that's what I was thinking, lol. I've noticed it most after a meal and late day/early night.

He's getting a little better, he comes up to me more when I'm by the cage instead of looking defensive. Unfortunately I'm going to be gone for about 2 1/2 weeks so I'm sure that'll be a little set back. The new rubber coated hook definitely makes a difference, though.

Re: SD Retic Pics

Yesterday was feeding day.... This guys an idiot. He shot right passed the rat, then latched onto the lip of his hide. He then proceeded to 'kill' it.

He wasn't happy about being sprayed today.

Re: SD Retic Pics

Thanks! They're definitely different. I love the orange eyes. How old will yours be? Mine was hatched 8-26-14.

Re: SD Retic Pics

@Dave, he really isn't, lol. He was digesting and not too thrilled to see me. Plus had some stuck shed. We're working on the temper.

@Amously nice looking tic you have there.

@Albert, thanks. Hes something else for sure. He's an interesting little guy. Thanks again, I really didn't expect to win, haha.

Thanks! So far that's the only tongue shot I've been able to get. Unfortunately he's got a lot of stuck shed in that pic, not sure if you can tell. He at least got his head and eye caps, though. He wasn't happy about the water on him.

Re: SD Retic Pics

Yeah these guys don't like getting startled! (Not that any snake does.) I'd be more worried about a spray inciting a nervous reaction though, as I've been struck at because I sprayed a snake before. So I normally refrain from spraying the actual snake if I do have to spray the enclosure. Have you tried offering a humid hide? Mine loved her's when she went into shed. Had a perfect one-piece shed, although I ripped it getting it out of her plant - whoops.

He's always nervous and ready for food, I actually only sprayed him because he had so much stuck shed. I was gone for a while and my dad wasn't sure how to keep the humidity up with newspaper. He has a humid hide, but I started using a different container and now he doesn't care for it. He was in it constantly before I changed it so I'll be putting it back soon. He didn't seem to mind the spray once he realized what was going on.
