Re: My pure Jampeas

I've owned jamps, kayaudis, and mainlands and although the smaller two are much faster and skittish, the feeding response is still nothing to a mainland. Just from my experience. The size also doesn't make things any easier. I've had 13 footers literally strike out and around enclosures all in one shot... If you get what I'm trying to say lol. I started out with dwarf locales but once I got into the big boys it was totally different. But when not in feeding mode they are a hundred times calmer.

Wow, you must have bought one of the last animals he produced. He passed away in late 2012 IIRC. Jason (his son) has pretty much taken over the business but he keeps his head low and just does his thing. Don't hear from him too often. He's also got arguably the biggest Jamp ever, around 17ft.

must have been. im gonna message my friend who goes to the same expo and tell him to double check my info. im 95% sure thats who it sold it to me but with you guys talking about this you got me thinking this guy had some real high end stuff and as much as i enjoy her she was not in the price range most of you guys operate in.

shes a great snake almost 2years old, right around 7-8ft, and 6-7lbs healthy and active so i dont complain.

Re: My pure Jampeas

A bit on the big size for a 2 yr old superjamp but not that big considering who it came from. Jason (and formerly Jim) always has had some really nice stuff. I like the superjamps, a great entry to retics at a reasonable price that most likely won't get huge.

Re: My pure Jampeas

I agree superjamps are a great intro to the retic world.

Little update on my male jamp, he shed for the second time for me and the burn is completely gone. The bulk of it is now normal looking/colored scales with only a dime sized scar. Ill post some before and after pics soon. But for now here's a feeding pic. I've been feeding him really small meals, to not stretch his wound while healing, well.... He got a good meal this time.
