If your dad is ok with it and you are both aware of their husbandry requirements then I don't see a problem.

Not trying to come off hostile in any way, my apologies if I seem that way but so far from what I see is that it's going to basically be her snake that's kept at her dad's house where she takes care of it and takes it when she leaves, am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture? I'd never do that for my kids, not with a snake of that epic proportion.

That would be sweet but I need a purple albino sunfire goldenchild, prehistoric pet has one for 15k so I need them to get one of those so I can have it lol

Ok, flet me state it a little better. Upon getting the snake it will be my dads and he will have sole responsibility. I will occasionally help with feeding and get comfortable with having a snake of that size in the house. If my dad believes I can handle it, he will pasd it to me.

snake momma...first off, i think it's great you are in to herps at such a young age. i started my herping passion at about 10 or 11. my first snake was a lined snake (tropidoclonion lineatum) that i caught in a neighbors yard. my parents hated snakes, i was lucky to get to keep this 10" snake. you are indeed lucky to have a parent that is into snakes, this will obviously help fuel your interest. you are def far beyond where i was at 10 based on your personal exposure. if the scenario is how you have described, your dad will obviously be the "line of defense" between you and the snake as to when you are capable of taking care of it (honestly, years from now)....however, given your father already has large constrictors, you should prob already know the cost and effort involved in keeping them. anyway, best of luck...
