Another simple rule, prevents monopoly with the contest, whoever wins the poll is excluded from the next month's.
Another nifty contest that should run parallel would be to "caption" the current contest photos.
Attach a funny saying to the pics, like those animal voice over videos.

i kinda feel it should have 3 sections. one obviously being snakes, another being lizards, and last but not least invertebrates like tarantulas and roaches and scorpions and such. maybe have another section for hots cause nobody has a chance against a viper (does anybody even have vipers here)
