Re: Wayne's Garter Snake Photo thread

New pics!

This is the earliest into a shed I have ever photographed.

People keep asking about caging, This snow male is 4 years old, this is a standard 10 gallon fish tank. Plenty of room in there.

It's a $2 "neon cave" hide thing.. I found them at wal mart in the pet department. They are usually in the bottom of aquariums, but the snakes love them...

Re: Wayne's Garter Snake Photo thread

In the middle pic is one of those $30 zoo med turtle logs that float, It was shipped here by accident when I ordered a cheap plastic hide log that was only a couple dollars.

I knew something was up when the box arrived, it was twice as big and very heavy, I opened it up and called the lady I bought it from, she said "Just keep it"

It's nice that it turned out in your favor though! Can't say that's ever happened for me

Blue Phase Axanthic.

I will take pics later with proper lighting, She has deep blue stripes.

For now, here's an older pic of the same snake.

Re: Wayne's Garter Snake Photo thread

I am going to breed her with a male snow of the same species (Thamnophis Radix) and see what pops out.

Re: Wayne's Garter Snake Photo thread

I know the breeder I got these from, it's been done.. but it always produces snows, anery, axanthic and albinos in a mixed litter.

Re: Wayne's Garter Snake Photo thread

aneries and axanthics are usually some of my favorites, not sure why but I just think the lack of color makes then look amazing.
