If this is your criteria how did a blood python and etb make the list?

Well I know that Blood Pythons can be tamed down and can be tamed down but they also are beautiful snakes! And of course then you could handle it. As for the ETB they are gorgeous animals that are for display and I wouldn't mind having that.

Re: Decision!

Jumping to a blood or a ATB is a huge jump, both in experience and housing requirements.
I would not recommend them till you have moved up the chain

Bloods can be amazing animals to work with. The keys to Bloods is from the time they are babies you need to handle them regularly. At least once or twice a week to get them use to it and to keep them use to it. You also have to learn how to read them and never back down or hesitate. You have to be confident when handling them. If you want to know more about bloods or some really good breeders PM me and i can hook you up.

I was saying houseing requirments in comparison to a ball python which is what he has now. Moving to a blood or ATB is quite a jump in care and attitude

Re: Decision!

I would go carpet.

In general, they are handeable. Being aggressive and stressed out from handling is not one of their stereotypes. Also they just look damn cool. Every one of them.

Re: Decision!

Don't get a blood or an emerald tree boa if you've only worked with balls. Not yet. Get a carpet / childrens / BCC / BCI / or the Kenyan.
