Helping is one thing, ignorance is another.. Just because you've been here reading doesn't mean you've soaked up all the info you need... Oh bye!

I'm waiting for you to respond to my comments about the Bronx Zoo keeper. Hmm you've been reading every day so you must have seen the threads! Guess ignorance is bliss.
Anyway, I don't see why you'd keep them on carpet. I found mulchs or chip bedding much better and I never needed any humid hides then. I sprayed them down a bit once a day. Never had any shedding issues.
I've also never heard of eye scratches with anything to do with special breedings. Granted, I don't dwell in the leopard gecko world anymore so it could be more new. Also, any animal can be born without an eye or two or whatever. Doesn't take mutations to make that happen. People have stuff happen like that and we aren't breeding for morphs LOL.
Lastly, the bold part in your quote above. It's highly arrogant to say that no one else puts their animals first. I think it's funny though because I have NO issue feeding my animals and me on proper diets and proper schedules. Neither one goes without food, ever. Maybe it's because I made sure I can eat everyday before I got pets. I'm not selfish to get a pet just because I want one. Who put the animal before them now?

Re: Having bad luck lately! Very upset.
I'm curious as to how a reptile suffocates/strangles on shed? I certainly don't want to see this happen to any of my reptiles. The sheds from mine (leopard gecko, bearded dragon, kingsnake) always seem so brittle when they come off and, of them all, the leopard gecko's is the thinnest (if I can actually see it before she eats it).

Re: Having bad luck lately! Very upset.
The shedding was a freak thing, but I have seen pictures online that looked just like mine. I wish I would have taken pictures.Anyway the skin was completely folded over the nose and mouth when my wife found her! It was actually the first time she ever had a bad shed.I didnt even know she was going to shed. She wasnt dull in color or anything! If I knew something was wrong I could have helped her! There was nothing I could do.Just a very rare occurrence!

Re: Having bad luck lately! Very upset.
As for everyone else,Im sorry! I had just lost one leo and was worried about the other one! I was just upset because nobody wanted to even try and help! As for an update,we saved one eye for sure and it looks like we might save the other one too! She is seeing out of both eyes now.The vet which is a good vet has been worth every penny! Once again I Am sorry if I came off rude, because that is not who I am! I am just someone who really loves animals! Keeping pets is a big responsibility that I take very very seriously! I just want what is best for any animal! I am sorry for my actions and will continue to be a part of this site as there is a lot of good information on here.Sorry guys!
