Re: Looking for something neat,

Personally i'd go for geckos, cresteds or gargoyles in something that size, too small for a brb, could always look at pygmy chameleons, they would love a cage that size, or if you wanted a snake species, a male amazon tree boa.

Re: Looking for something neat,

i think im going to look into a BRB, it all depends on a few things, mainly finances, but i know it's not going to be her forever home, im going to look for a yearling she should be happy in there for at least a year before it's time to move up

Re: Looking for something neat,

I wouldn't put a yearling in a 2ft myself as I don't feel you get a good gradient in a viv that size but that's just my personal opinion mate.

Re: Looking for something neat,

Put the BRB in the 18x18x18 for now. Then as it grows, you can upgrade to a larger tank and start again with something new in this one.

thats the plan, going to look for a young one at the toronto reptile expo, and have already started researching materials to build a proper enclosure this summer for her forever home.

Re: Looking for something neat,

24x18x18 would be ok for a hatchling BRB to a 1-2 yo. Depending on size. The humidity fluctuations would be less than with a screen top 10g-20g

Pretty Rainbow BCR226! Love the ocelli.

here's my big fella

either way i can get a more suitable tank for the boa later
You could get a red eye tree frog in that. They're pretty neat.

Re: Looking for something neat,

nah im making this official, 24x18x18 is going to be my BRB, the 18hx12wx24l will be a pair of crested gecko's and the other one at this point im going to leave empty and look around at the expo. seems big enough for a mid range skink or something, maybe a red eye crocodile skink
