Ill get some next time and try it. My other boa's are on newspaper and the humidity is OK.
I also have moss in a tub with a hole cut out sometimes she gets in it or sometimes I just leave one of the pieces of wood to soak in water and then put it in the enclosure that also works well not had a bad shed yet I check temps/humidity every day sometimes twice.

The news paper is so easy to clean just take it out put one job done but I will try cypress bark/mulch as I have not tried it.

Newspaper works fine aswell, holds moisture and is cheaper... I only suggested cypress mulch/bark for cosmetic value incase you wanted substrate that looks a bit more natural.
