It's a normal and in shed. They color up as they get older. Some normals have almost no orange at hatching. I have hunch your little one is going to be quite lovely!

I sure hope so. I just upgraded the enclosure for our not quite adult normal corn and moved the new arrival into the original enclosure. What you say makes perfect sense. I have not had a chance to see normal corn snakes at that early of an age.

I'm surprised it took so long to identify it. That's a normal and a very nice one at that!

We'll, corns don't seem to receive that much attention. The eye caps are gone, but it hasn't shed yet. I tried to feed it anyhow, and it took to a f/t within minutes. Seems like a good snake all alround.

The new corn just shed, and yes, I can see a whole lot more of the red coming through.

Yes, I couldn't really see the borders that well before, but they are definitely well-defined. I'm overall very happy with my son's selection. (My selfish attempt to steer him towards a butterscotch failed.)

grats for ure new little friend. reg corn are nice in color... like the oketee's they are wild morph but they are magnifcic animals
