I think its a girdled lizard (or something like that)

Re: Dangerous Creatures - Ushaka Marine World. Durban, SA.

The lizard in question is called a Sungazer or Giant gridled lizard (Cordylus giganteus). You were pretty spot on there *Don't Mind Me* !

They're a protected species (on the red list) and in real danger of becoming extinct if development and illegal harvesting continues (in my opinion).

As for S.A as a holiday destination, I would recommend coming over anytime ! Do yourself the favour and google a couple of these:

1) Drakensberg, valley of a thousand hills, South Africa
2) St Lucia, Kwazulu-natal, South Africa
3) Clifton, Mnandi Beach and Bikini Beach, Cape town, South Africa
4) Magwa falls,Eatern Cape, South Africa
5) Richtersveld national park
6) Kgalagadi transfrontier park
7) The cradle of mankind...to name a few !

For the less adventurous visitors I'd sagest:

1) Suncity resort (check the palace hotel out)
2) Garden route
3) V&A Waterfront (Cape town)

Please let me know what you guys think haha...I hope I didn't go overboard ?

Regards
Louis.

Gaboons are my absolute favorite venomous! I would own one if I kept hots, which I don't, but Gaboons are SO COOL! I agree that croc is pretty dang cute though!
