This is what happenes to biters. They meet their demise. Now that this is done, we can go back to tending to our tame rats and mice.
Black Betty's satisfied with this meal and that makes me happy.

It definitely makes it easier when the rats are like that. I'm dethawing a hopper and a rat pup and they are really adorable. Having a blood drawing rat wouldn't make me feel as bad haha at least for a few minutes

I understand and it is a dicotomy when we see all these young rats as cute as can be, but they are livestock to me, even if they are pet tame.

I feel like no matter how much of a jerk an animal is, I couldn't enjoy watching be smothered to death. I'd also be scared of putting such a huge, aggressive rat in with one of my snakes... To each their own, though.

I understand how you feel and I also appreciate your "to esch his/her own" approach. It wasnt so much my enjoyment as it was the fact that I dont keep biters. The following is a quote from an ealier post in this thread and it applies to what you said here about "I'd also be scared of putting such a huge, aggressive rat in with one of my snakes":

This is a big reason I really enjoy this place, the respect. Respect for the snake and respect for the rat. It's a big thing for me, I get loaded with questions about feedings and people think that it is all a bunch of 17 year olds taping their neighbors pet bunny to their python while Slayer is playing in the background
