So is going to fuzzies a bad idea? I'm pretty sure he started on fuzzies, but they were feeding him live which I did not want to do, but they didn't have any frozen at the time so the 2 times I fed him were pinkies. I was thinking that since I still have one pinkie left, I'd give him that plus a fuzzie, then see if he can take 2 fuzzies a couple feedings and then I could try rat pinks?

Re: Health concerns
it wouldn't be bad, I just like having all of my snakes on rats. He'll eventually get big enough he'll need small rats, possibly mediums, and there are no mice big enough at that point. Rat pinks are about the same size and are, well, rats. Since you've got a pinkie left go ahead and give him that, no point in wasting it, you can add in a fuzzie or a rat pink too if you like. I don't think I would do 2 fuzzies just yet.

Re: Health concerns
Trollbie, the feedback you are getting is correct. A single mouse pinkie is way too small for these snakes. A rat pinkie, on the others hands, is perfect. The sooner you start switching him to rats, the easier it will be long run. I have one adult right now who insists on mice, and I have to feed her four (!) of them just to make a meal.
