Re: Your Weather
Here in Massachusetts, it was sunny and in the lower to mid sixties, an absolutely gorgeous day!

Right now it's at 80 degrees on her hot spot. Since her log is under the hot spot, I hope the temp underneath the log is perfect. She seems to like it there anyway.
Where were you exactly?

I lived in Tracy where it was hot and dry in the summer (about 95 w/25% humidity) and the winters were cool and wet usually close to freezing but the only time it ever dropped below freezing was when the stars were out. I worked in the Bay Area and looked forward to Fridays because my route took me to Watsonville where it was perfect all the time.

Haha Tracy! I lived in Sacramento for ~5 years and hated it. I can't stand the heat. Now I live in Santa Cruz, and it's pretty nice here. But I kind of fell in love with SoCal coast weather.

I love the nature and weather here, but I'm getting out as soon as I (hopefully - cross your fingers for me!) graduate in June. Some of the people here drive me crazy. And the tourism! And I feel like I'm getting island fever here...
I'd like to live on the East Coast for a bit. But if that doesn't work out, San Diego area or Long Beach it is.

Re: Your Weather
As the OP would probably confirm, if you had those choices, Southern California would be better. San Diego or Long Beach would work.

I really loved it in upstate NY though. And I loved Chicago as well. And I've been to both places in the middle of the winter!
I also LOVED Colorado, but I'm not sure I could handle not being by the ocean... considering Ocean Sciences is what I'm studying

Re: Your Weather
Youre better off staying where you are. Your course of study dictates that and besides, the weather there is unmatched by anywhere else in the world.

I just want to get out for a year or 2 before I go off to grad school. There are a lot of cool marine/ocean science institutions on the east coast, like Woods Hole. But I wanna go to University of British Columbia for grad school. And then who knows where I'll end up, but I think I want to stay around Cali. I love that I can have the warm SoCal beaches, the beautiful Lost Coast, Yosemite, and it's only a short drive to go dirt bike riding and shooting in the desert. Omg and Tahoe!
I love Cali, I just want to get out and experience while I can
