i can garentee that humidity was very high in the cage, maybe not in this set of pics, or at this certain moment since it was underneath the humid hide, but the whole cage was humid, and most of the mulch was damp...
this thread is to just honor the passing of her, not to disscuss why or what happened... because i am sure it was dehydration, and i am very upset at that, since it was my fault..

I didn't mean to be unkind or critique you, at all! I'm sorry if that's how you read it. I was just responding to BB because I'd remembered that other thread you'd had about her. I too had understood that since you said you didn't know why she passed away, that it would be ok for us to discuss it. I'm sorry I didn't know you didn't want that...
This thread should absolutely be about honoring her. Don't beat yourself up, though. Most of us strive to give our reptiles the best care we can offer, and I'm sure you did exactly that. She was beautiful too. It's never easy to see a friend go, no matter what the circumstances. Hugs

I dont mean any dis respect either, especially to BB, its just i tried my best and worked so hard to get her to trust me again... and we were finally getting back to where we were as she was a baby... and then she passed, again, i odnt mean to be mean or rude to you, BB, or Marvelfreak, i know your trying to help, but i just felt a little offended in the "dry mulch" commet.
wait, could IBD cause aggression in any way?!?!

Re: Remembering Kerrella
Why don't we start another thread on IBD and its symptoms.

Re: Remembering Kerrella
I agree...and perhaps we can oblige on a kind moderator to transfer some of the "causes" discussion over to the start the new thread, leaving just the sympathy posts here to honor her.
Again, my condolences.

i also agree with this, if Wayne, or another moderator wants to move the causes of IBD to a seperate thread, i will be more than happy to talk about it... this thread will stay just for condolences. thanks.

Re: Remembering Kerrella
I just saw this, I'm really sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful BRB. I would like to add that even though your hygrometers may have read appropriate humidity, it is possible that they were reading wrong. Just an fyi.

Re: Remembering Kerrella
I am sorry for your loss. I know you hurt, and people don't want to feel blame for their pets passing, but she really is dehydrated. I understand that you had a humid hide and everything, but her eyes don't lie. You can tell just by looking at her that she was dehydrated. BRB's don't handle being dry well, not even for a day. I don't mean to sound harsh or blaming you, but we need to learn from our mistakes. Again, I am sooo sorry for your loss.

they are right... a stuck eye shed is usually a tell tale sign that humidity is too low...
like i said, they are right, i thought the humidity was fine, but she shed, and had that stuck (everything else came off in 1 peice), but stuck eye caps is a sign of low humidity, and dehydration...
so its sad, and hurts, but it was my fault, i though i had it under control, but i messed up.. next BRB, if i get one, i will only keep it in a tub!
