Re: some carpets
Gorgeous snakes. I particularly like the striped copper one. I've never seen one colored like that before. I know you didn't breed them but do you know if the color was a planned result or did it just pop out of a stripe project?

it a 50% jungle jaguar
jungle carpet python x coastal jaguar carpet python
the jaguar colour and pattern mutation is a coastal morph
heres a 75% irian jaguar i recently sold
it was produced by first crossing a coastal jag x pure irian jaya = 50% irian jaguar (irian jag siblings would also be produced, snakes that did not recieve the jag gene)
then crossing the 50% irian jaguar x back to a pure irian jaya,to give it 75% irian jaya influence
cheers shaun

i think eric burke of the usa has one of similar colour,as far as i know they are the only 2 about mate
she should be a nice bright yellow, but remains copper coloured even at over 3 years old.
she has a full unbroken symetrical back stripe, which is my favorite bit about her
i didn't get her eating until she was 10 months old,so she was small due to being a slow starter.
i hope to breed her next year and hope to get some unusual looking jags from her
imo she has one of the best looking dorsal stripes i've ever seen, that and her wierd colour should make for some interesting hatchlings
she was produced from a normal looking high yellow 50% jungle jag female crossed back to the father, who was a normal high yellow jungle
none of the parents had stripes going on,she just popped out that colour, with the full stripe
i'm getting excited now shes about up to breeding size,i really want to see what unusual stuff pops out her eggs mate
cheers shaun

Re: some carpets
I think I prefer the copper color to the bright yellow honestly. And yea, her stripe is perfect. Thanks for the extra pics and explanation.

i've had to let a few of my carpets go recently,as the price of electricity is very high over in the uk just now
i am down to the carpets i do not want to sell,as i have breeding plans for them all
i really want to put the gosford male diamond with her as soon as he is sexually mature.she already has a high percentage of diamond in her genetics,so i'm really looking forward to see, what adding another 50% of pure diamond does for the hatchlings
that granite of yours is definitly in the top 2 best granites i've ever seen.so much yellow in him
its good to have more carpet keepers on the forum mate
just gotta love carpets .....!!!
cheers shaun
