I've trained a bunch of dogs in Philly in the years I've been there. My friends usually give me their puppies for a weekend and I return it to them with sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking and housebroken I've also helped rehabilitate fighting pit bulls into loving pets. I'm getting a dog in a few months and my friends joke that I'll have it pooping on command LOL !! But seriously, I love puppies and I love training, so think about it

Re: dog emergency
Do you have any experience with Chihuahua's? He is pretty nasty when he wants to be. He can be the sweetest dog in the world but he is a typical Chihuahua when he is around anyone but me...have you ever seen Cesar Millan's Chihuahua's from Hell? That's Presley in a nutshell...
But I have been thinking about taking him to obedience school. Maybe we could work something out.

I've dealt with pitbulls from fighting rings in philly... Nunu from Cesar Millan but in a 140lbs dog The feister your little chihuahua is the better. Nothing is impossible with dogs- they change for the better faster than humans do.
Oh and yes, I've worked with quite a few chihuahuas and yorkies

Re: dog emergency
Any dog can be taught to poop on demand, thats what they do with "service" dogs - police, army, guide dogs etc. So that the dog doesnt need to go whilst "working". It does help tho if the dog has a daily routine to stick too.
I trained our old Labrador to only eat things that i told him were ok (because my parents dog had terrible digestive issues but would eat ANYTHING that it found no matter how rancid). I once was eating a roast dinner and the door bell went, i put the plate on the floor (we eat on the sofa) and went to open the door, started nattering to the person and came back about 20 minutes later - dinner was cold but the dog hadnt touched it, just sat there looking at it.
People out walking were surprised - walkers around here seem to offer strange dogs treats all the time, stupid and annoying!!! - as when they offered him treats he would take from them, walk to me and drop it at my feet, if i said "go on then" he would eat it but if i said "no" or even just ignored him he would just sit and watch it.
