I didn't know ring necks were so tiny! Thank you every one for the suggestions I am looking into a few of them and trying to determine how far I am willing to drive or if I can trust anyone with a shipment.

Well that is another story then. I would be concerned as well. Maybe have it shipped to your work or the house of a family member you can trust?

That ring neck is so adorable I might see if I can bribe my boss. Yes, one of the lovely neighbors was caught trying to get onto one of my horses. I went outside with a bat and kindly informed him that I had a right to defend my property and planned to exercised said right. Furthermore my mare is worth over 3k and therefore I could press charges for grand larceny. I moved her and my gelding a week later.

My neighbours know better.
Buy a rifle.

I second this motion. Buy a heavy caliber. Nothing worse than shooting an animal and watching it try to crawl into the brush.

Re: Tiny snake suggestions
This is an interesting thread. I like the tiny ones too. LOL.
I tease my wife all the time when she says something is cute I ask 'why, because it's small?'. hehehe
And yes, it's important for the neighbors to have a good healthy fear of you. Especially if you live out in the boonies.

Re: Tiny snake suggestions
OMG! I wanted a bmg so bad when I lived in the states. I almost bought one in Tennessee but decided against it. Imagine coyote hunting with that!

You can email the company and have them ship to the nearest FedEx or UPS or whatever and you can pick it up from there. I had to do that because they couldn't ship to my house.

You could have them deliver to your nearest post office and pick up there instead.

Re: Tiny snake suggestions
Shotguns are intimidating too, big barrels and lots of noise.
a 12 Gage pump fired into the air sends neighbours running FAST.
and that sound of the pump action, cha-chink.. that's intimidating too.
Just make sure you look deadly serious, and don't tremble, they need to think you mean it.

^this, for home defense, nothing speaks louder than a shotgun.
well... maybe a fully auto assault rifle, but those are illegal...

Re: Tiny snake suggestions
The mindset down there is different, my neighbors know if they piss me off they won't be invited to the BBQ, rofl.
That being said I've needed to kick the crap out of a few people who wouldn't stop.... much more fun to do it by hand.

Re: Tiny snake suggestions
Terrible idea to shoot someone of a horse using a shotgun.
its an even worse Idea to use a shotgun or any long gun for home defense.

Re: Tiny snake suggestions
I love how this turned into a gun talk. I am well known for being that crazy Yankee Italian B**** down the street. Just the same it would be ahrd to prove who did it since there are a lot of scum bags. If I didn't see it happen... I'll find someone to let me deliver it that ring neck is just too darn pretty to not figure somethign out for.
