Are they a CITES listed reptile? if not you can just ship them over. Won't need to pay for CITES, just 239 for inspection (Be sure to bring a book with pictures to the border showing that it is non native, preferably one thats taxonomically accurate.

No need to PM, it's a public ad.

Re: Natrix Natrix - Hit US collections
Actually, if they aren't CITES listed and you have under 2 non CITES animals, generally you can just drive across the border with them, as long as you claim them when they ask, and provide photographic proof that the animal is what you say it is.

Re: Natrix Natrix - Hit US collections
Kk here is the deal. I will be going down before Christmas for a rat order. I have absolutely no issue picking them up for you guys. I am going to ask my wife for one as a Christmas gift. I have four boas atm and she is making re-home one so I may be able to talk her into one of these bad boys!

Re: Natrix Natrix - Hit US collections
You may be able to coax them into it.
I will ask the more experienced (AKA European keepers)
You know, you are always welcome to join Garter Snake Forum (I mod there too) and start a Natrix thread in the husbandry forum.
I keep both forums open in tabs simultaneously.

Re: Natrix Natrix - Hit US collections
I'm guessing their hubandry is similar to their US counterparts? If so I'm interested in purchasing one if shipping isnt outrageous. I was just going to ask on here for recommendations on where to purchase garters as I'm ready to buy. Good thing I saw this thread first! I'd much rather keep something a little different.

He's feeding them fish right now.
Yes, they are about just the same to care for.
