I don't take Boomers out if Blue or Bubba have been out in the past few hours because she reacts to their scent trail by leaving a little trail of her own and getting a little uptight, lol. It's just a routine I have to stay with - I won't allow an intergrade affair happening here

The 'plan' is nothing more than succession. Blue is 10 years old, Bubba is only 2 years, so by the time Blue passes-on, Bubba will be around the half-way mark and ready to step into his shoes, so to speak. By the time Bubba passes away, I'll be ready for the old folks home. See, it's all in the plan :P

None of my snakes will breed. There aren't enough dedicated people in my area and there are already too many snakes out there being shuffled around over & over for my taste, so I won't add to that problem by increasing those numbers

Very nice! I agree, each of my bloods is different, and you do have to be more cautious. Before handling I always make sure they know I am there, and give them a few minutes to get used to the fact that I am there. Once that is established, I proceed to pick them up slowly, fast movements really can startle them and get them to be defensive, more so than other snakes I have handled. Once out of their enclosure they are great, again just have to move slowly with them.
