Didnt I hear that if you dont wait 48 hours after a shed to feed your snake, it can cause the new skin to rip ? Is that a myth ?
Either way, gonna try and feed her in a bit. Wish me luck ^^
Well there is a new one for me. I have never heard that one. The only thing with the new skin is they are completely sterile when they first shed. Little known fact that the snake as soon as the snake has shed is completely a sterile snake as soon as the shed has come off it is completely sterile. Rip the new skin nope. They are just shedding. Not a big deal and with just the right amount of humidity you will get the perfect shed too.
If your snake has already shed, go ahead and offer food. Most likely it will take it. My snakes will even eat in shed, unless they are just about to pull off the shed, and if they are they will pull off the shed and take their meal immediately. There really isn't any wait time for feeding after shed. It's not like surgery or something. It wont hurt them. So go ahead, if you are feeding f/t just watch if he doesn't take it, put the rodent back in the freezer before it goes bad and wait a couple days and try again.
I wouldnt be comfortable re-freezing prey. Once its been defrosted it starts to deteriorate.

I treat their food like i treat my family's food, no chance it is getting refrozen!
