Re: Okay is this real or photoshopped?

Oh trust me I understand the angle is used to exaggerate it, it's used for taking pictures of "monster" fish all the time. I'm just saying on the question of it being fake or photoshoped, even if the guy is 6'2, the snake looks less than 8', wich isn't impossible for C adamanteus.

off topic again. This would be a product of evolution. The snakes that don't rattle are suviving and passing on their genes and the ones that do are getting eaten by the wild pigs. One pest weeding out the other so to speak.

Back on topic, you guys are correct it is a matter of perspective for that picture. Wayne, in the picture of your friend it is clearly obvious that the snake is closer to the camera as the hook is clearly larger (ie closer to the camera) than the base/handle.
The rattler in the OP is being held out away from his body, but we can only speculate how much. However based on the angle that he is holding the stick at and the fact that the tail is still touching the ground, my guess is its still a 6ft+ snake.

I agree with this, I can't understand how he would be holding it that far away to make it look that bit while the tail is still touching the ground.

To be honest, just because i've seen some really cool shoops, I would think its a completely different type of snake just made to look like a rattler

I have to say that I don't think the tail is touching the ground.. it only appears to be near it.

Wayne's friend's shirt. In addition, Randy Rhoads was a fantastic guitarist as well.

It appears to have been drug a bit based on the angle of the tail to the ground, but the curve above makes me think otherwise now. Regardless, its still a rather long snake.
I'm by no means a professional, but photography is one of my other expensive hobbies. I wish there was more light so we could see a shadow.

Both Futurama and the Simpsons are fantastic shows. Family guy has some great one-liners/scenes, but its not nearly as good as it used to be. They're running out of ideas and have been reusing the same jokes for some time now unfortunately. American dad remains entertaining, as does South Park (primarily because they push buttons most other shows won't.

Ok along with the snake being closer to the camera. I am i the only one that notice how the ground slops down in the back ground and how the trees go inward. Towards the center of the pictures. Kind of like looking down a path. Which help makes the guy appear smaller. At least it looks that way to me.

Re: Okay is this real or photoshopped?

If shot on film then i'd say the pic was taken with a 24mm lens, if shot on a digi then a 18mm lens. Wayne's pic would be the same but we will need him to confirm the focal length of the lens.

There's a standard beer/softdrink can next to rattle snake man's foot for comparison and by the looks of it he ain't 6 foot tall....

Wow you guys are good.I never expected such a long discussion from this.I wonder how old a snake like that is.too bad though. The pic of the garter does make it look as big as a bullsnake.
