I may not know much but we all have to start somewhere im sure not one of you people were born a breeder or born with a ball python in your hand thank you all for your time.

Start by reading, videos, discussion, more videos, more reading, more discussion, talking with your local herp or four. Man I am learning something new every single day and it is worth the time it takes.
Without being on a high horse I will tell you; look back at YOUR postings; read what YOU wrote. YOU housed the snakes together, YOU let them lock, then YOU let a different pairing lock up. Then you posted this information and did not expect people to be grumpy about it?
I am new to this hobby as obviously you are too, but please remember, these are more than just throw away toys. Do your research, it will pay off in spades, I promise.

Re: is my female bp gravid yet?
Most of these guys that commented negatively, were correct in their statements.
Take it on the chin and learn for next time.

How can you know your animals are in better condition if you don't know how to take care of your own? yes, he was blunt, but try and take the best out of what everyone said instead of focusing on the bad.

Re: is my female bp gravid yet?
Looks like this is gonna be a guy who wants people to say what he wants to hear or he will just ignore us and/or insult us.
To the OP, If you dont want to keep your animals in ideal conditions then, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it. However if you post comments showing poor husbandry and conditiond for your snakes on a snakes lovers forum you ARE going to receive advice and criticism for it.

Considering mine breed and reproduce with no problems I highly doubt that. You're asking for help with ball pythons, I don't have to ask for help- as mine are healthy, weigh 1800-2200 grams each, eat amazing, and produce wonderful clutches of eggs for me.
Rehome your snakes if you care about them. NOT your hot headed know it all ego. I'm going to be straight forward- you're coming off as a complete idiot acting the way you are.
Clearly you know it all about snakes, don't ask for our help, keep your snakes, have fun when they die, enjoy shelling out $80 each for new because every decent breeder will laugh in your face.

Re: is my female bp gravid yet?
Hey all even if he was in the wrong and acting hastily. Isn't it our responsibility to help others learning the herp world? To harp on the guy repeatedly about it instead of giving advice is so cut throat. Instead of jumping down his throat, wouldn't it have been better to educate him/her on the proper orientation of things, or certain literature he/she could look into. We all make mistakes and you all started at ground zero too. This high and mighty attitude is a major turn off. We all learn as we go. Though I do not condon what he/she did, we could have enriched their mind to make sure his animals where Properly taken care of. Isn't that the purpose of this forum? To share knowledge and experience?

Re: is my female bp gravid yet?
People jumped on him about how he F'd up. What response was expected? Instead of saying "hey I have a chance to correct this persons flaws". People just kept beating him down. Now he's in worse shape then when he asked for HELP. Now he is still unaware of what to do and pissed off. We all had a chance to help this person, but instead focused on the negatives. It's wrong man that's all I'm saying.

Re: is my female bp gravid yet?
Hey we told him what we could. Told him to stop putting his snakes together, housing them together, ect. We even told him that more than likely his snake wasn't ovulating or whatever. Yeah we were harsh but holding someone's hand and telling them everything is okay isn't always the best way to handle things. Sometimes you gotta be a "big boy" and take the critics. In the long run you would be a better person about it.
Besides I don't think any of us were overly harsh in the beginning. Heck I myself have gotten worse when I first got on here...if you can outlast the initial kinks and find your place in here it is all worth it and better. Being harsh and throwing out insults like this guy did isn't gonna get you anywhere. Acknowledging your mistakes, making an effort to correct them, and continue to strive to do what is best...that is the way to do it.

Re: is my female bp gravid yet?
I gave him advice. I told him to rehome 2 of the snakes, including the female to someone who could handle it. That IS the BEST advice anyone could have given him.
He chose to ignore it and get hostile over the fact he sucks at keeping a simple species of snake. I hope it all goes to hell, and he learns his lesson.
