Re: Indigos?
Indigos are not very commonly bred or kept- and in general come with a very expensive price tag. Removing them from the wild is 100% illegal and should be left alone, and unless you have experience and plan to breed the species to better improve its captive population I'd advice against owning one for the "wow factor" or just for a pet.

Re: Indigos?
They're usually about $1,000 and are rare. Have been looking for one for a while now.

I respectfully disagree. Assuming one is willing to go the extra mile to maintain an eastern indigo, they are incredible pets. Interacting with and observing them is fascinating. I often say my indigo is more like a dog than a snake. There's nothing wrong with having one as a pet, and the captive gene pool seems to be pretty limited anyway.
The laws regarding eastern indigos vary from state to state. In Florida, you are pretty much out of luck if you want to own one. Per federal law, if one buys an eastern indigo from an out-of-state breeder, he/she has to obtain an interstate commerce permit from the USFWS, and it costs $100.
I'll be happy to discuss more, or suggest some breeders if anyone is interested. There are other species of Drymarchon that are easier to obtain - Texas indigos and the various cribo species. I've never owned one of them, but they are very closely related, so they are quite similar.
Thanks,
Ed
