Re: Crocodilian?
We use mouthwash with larger snakes and monitors+crocodilians that don't want to let go. 1 drop inside the mouth and they let go immediately, use the alcohol free MW

Sorry frenchman, your wrong on that one.
The mouthwash is mandatory for their breath, its quite foul.
Thats a nice looking animal for sure.. Im not sure I could ever dedicate and entire room of my house to a single creature.... could fit so many more lesser ones in that space.
As usual, pics are mandatory if you get it.

Re: Crocodilian?
I read a recent Reptiles Magazine article that said cleaning out the water filter for their ponds is quite possibly the most disgusting thing in the world.

It is, and it needs to be done pretty often.
It LOOKS bad, but doesn't smell as bad as sav poo.

Re: Crocodilian?
i have been told by a guy who used to have a caimen back in the day, he said they are not all they are cracked up to be, he said it was real cool when it was small, but after like 5-10 years with this thing he said it became a huge chore with no real reward, cant socialize with it, it always hated him and after that many feeding it seesed to be entertaining and was more of a hasle makeing sure he had somone their everytime he stepped downstair to check on it, I think they are so damn cool, but its somthing to consider. like you said if your buddy takes it later that would be sweet, just around the time this might hapen, you would be able to relieve yourself of all the work and still get to be around it, win win if you ask me. If you get this bad boy you better show pics lol im sure half of us will be living vicariously through you on this one for sure

I know that's a joke (I hope) but I personally find it unamusing because there are people who do that.
