Tried that before. He completely gave up and started wandering around his tank. I don't touch it until he gets to that point. He seems to lose interest if he can't get it to where he can swallow it right away.

Looking pretty after his first good shed since I got him in December. Usually comes off in a bunch of tiny pieces, must have gotten the humidity right this time
