homeless people seem to like cardboard. better insulator than foil, but not as good as styro.

Dont you have your CHE's thermostatted? I wouldnt want one near my snakes without a stat - not sure if you have one but put a laser temp guage on the bulb when its on - your looking at 300F+

Canadian Tire: heat emitting fan; $30.
Forget about trying to heat the enclosure if the room is too cold.
Heat the whole room.
Problem solved.

Lol I went to home depot and bought a sheet of insulation temps are great and even though I moved him what... Tuesday? he ate for me today only took about 10 seconds after I showed him the rat that he took it

Little late on this thread but the insulation is the best way. Done that one before and cardboard too. Glass just sucks for heat retention. In the process of moving all our animals to wood or plastic enclosures.
