He looks crabby. Thanks for sharing the pics, and your experiences. I'll bet you have a few stories to tell. Looking forward to handling a gator at our upcoming reptile show in March

Re: new guy with some pics

She was somewheres around 19 ft... I dont think we ever weighed her...she was very aggressive ...unfortunatly when we got her she was a pregnant female taken from the wild....after she had the babies,i remember she did not eat very good...maybe one duck here or there...very stressed out im sure ...this was prolly 12 years ago and I dont think too much breeding was going on with these....the Bad thing about a Zoo is they want LARGE animals now!!!!!!!!So back then theres only one place to get them...i worked with alot of wild caught monsters...a real chore to clean and feed....but quite a rush some days.....Im so happy to see everyone breeding everything so most of the reptiles do not have to be taken from the wild...but I guess ya gotta start somewheres...myself being out of this hobby hardcore for so long i see i have alot to learn and am really looking foward to producing some babies myself...just gotta find my nitch...i am quite fond of Varanids

Re: new guy with some pics

presspirate...yes gators are cool...can be really mellow if theve had alot of hands on....best of the crocodilians...ive worked with a few differant caimen, and croc species...I would work with a 10 ft american alligator any day rather than a 5ft nile croc ..any how heres "Big Mac"...a rouge gator we got from a golf course in florida...... i guess it was causing problems for the golfersThis here was a couple hr process removing him because he got too large for this cage...we ended up putting an albino gator in here
