Yeah, we fed him yesterday and he must have been pretty hungry cause he was snapping all over the place, needless to say I never did get better pics. He struck at the pink several times, we actually had to move the feeding tub to a different room and cover it before he would eat. You got to love these little fellas. Acting so tough.

We managed to get hold of a decent camera, so took a few pics over the weekend. He's calmed down a lot.....ok, not really he's still a feisty lil b@$t@rd, but he's so darn cute.

I am just kidding with you. I use to have a baby retic and Savanna monitor that i had to wear gloves to handle. Hopefully he tames down soon for you. I got luck all 3 jungles i haved had were pass that stage when i got them.

No offense taken Chuck, it's kind of funny, I've been tagged a couple times by him. It's more the jump factor, than fear of being bitten. Once you realize that he will strike at anything that moves, you just learn to control your movements so that he doesn't get so jumpy.He has drawn blood from my wife on one occasion.

Is he still fesity once out? Our yearling JCP is pretty feisty in his viv so i am using a glove to get him out of there but once out he settles real quick so i remove the glove to get him used to me more.

The gloves are off. I took him out to feed him last night and he did not tag me once. So I believe he is calming down a bit finally!
