The one horror story that stayed forever etched in my mind is a bloke who was running a reptile rescue got up one morning to find a snake bag on his doorstep.

when he brought it inside, he opened it to find a ball python inside that had been left with a rat for a few days, the guy (or girl) who did this obviously left no food for the rat.

the snake was not hungry, but very soon the rat was.

the rat ate part of the snake, it was terminal, and the snake had to be put down.
