Re: Steve Irwin petition
I seriously almost cried when I heard that he had passed. I will remember him and be encouraged by him for the rest of my life. It is a lifelong dream of mine to visit his zoo. I signed the petition yesterday, hopefully we can save the area.

Re: Steve Irwin petition
I just signed it. It would be a complete shame if that land was lost.

Almost?? I never weep for celebrities, but Steve was an exception.
This would be a double tragedy......
The only episode of southpark that ever offended me was the one with Steve Irwin walking around with a stingray protruding from his chest.

Re: Steve Irwin petition
It would be a disgrace for that land to be lost. I've signed this before and it won't let me sign again, heh. I'll post this on my Facebook as well...I don't understand HOW a mining company can even apply to mine there? Isn't it protected land? Hmph

Re: Steve Irwin petition
Had a fairly good read through the info about the zoo today. Looks like the mining company are trying to buy/access a small part of the land but it is the head water for all the wetlands within the wildlife park. If they destroy that then they will destroy the whole environment that the animals are kept in.
Lets try to not let this happen!!
