Re: Ribbit! (Tatty)

ten years ago I signed for my 16 year old to get hers.

Times have changed.

Re: Ribbit! (Tatty)

Tell me about it. Last tattoo i got i had to show ID to make the appointment, and when i went back to get it two days later. Mess up part i got over 20 tats at this place. At first i thought they were messing with me, but then they showed me a copie of the new law. I still thought they were pulling my chain i went home a looked it up. Sure enough there it was.

Re: Ribbit! (Tatty)

THX everyone.
IMHO its better to wait to get inked.
I waited a long time before I started to do all of mine.
Its a big decision & is FOREVER
Pay the money to get it done right at an inspected, licensed shop, where they have the experience & know how to do it properly & more importantly SAFELY.
Not only are tattoos forever but things like AIDS etc. are as well
As the old saying goes good tattoos are not cheap & cheap tattoos are not good.
Wait until you have e the time & money to do so properly.
Don't let some hack make a mess on you & infect you with God knows what all over a few hundred bucks or whatever. Mark

Re: Ribbit! (Tatty)

I would go with what Mark has said. I got my first done at 17 (I'm now 24) it's a snake on my back, nicely coiled on a branch. I'm sure there's a picture of it on the forum somewhere. I then got my second 2 years ago. I waited the 5 years in between because I wouldn't rush to get one done. I want to make sure I'm ok with living with this for the rest of my life. Also as Mark said. Spend the extra money and go somewhere that you feel comfortable with and it's a real proper shop. Not the bathroom or kitchen of some guy's house in their dining room chair.

Wow, that sounds like a neat tat, Aaron. I'd love to see pictures of it. Is it a GTP?

Re: Ribbit! (Tatty)

Tatts are great - waited 12 years to get my first but then got 4 within a year. Saving up to get another but money may go on snakes instead now!!!

Best thing about getting a tatt is the pain relief - each one gave me approx 8 to 12 hours without pain which is completely unheard of!! MAybe i can get free tattoos on the health service................
