their gorgeous mate.my mates black blood gave me the strongest feeding response ive had to date.its the only response thats literally made me jump.i was shaking the rat in front of him for ages and he lay that still i was just about to shout to my mate that there was something wrong with his blood.( it lay there that still it appeared to be dead ).just as i was about to shout through it struck.wahl for the bulkyness and size of these dudes they cant have move.the strength of the strike was like nothing ive ever felt (my adult carpets hit quite hard).a mate of mine reckons bloods can hit that hard they could break a human leg.from what i witnessed i tend to believe him.
cheers shaun

I`d like to be able to handle him for longer than thirty seconds really lol Blimey I can`t imagine being able to do a course of injections on him !! I bet that`s going to be fun if I ever have to inject that guy ! lol

it took 3 grown men to restrain my mates borneo blood when injecting it.even with that it was pulling us all over the place (it wasnt even full grown).it was a tame blood who loved being handled so i can only imagine what a grumpy blood would have been like.
cheers shaun

Re: My Blood Pythons
I dread to think what it`ll be like to inject Sunday!! lol I think darts and an air gun might be a better bet ! lol I had a spare rat at the end of todays feeding so I gave it to Sunday being as he`s getting so huge. He`s like the snake room hoover now lol I use him to hoover up leftover rats lol As you say, they`ll sit there looking dead, such a cumbersome snake hardly looks like it can move like these guys do either, then BANG!!!! It`s like bloody lightning isn`t it!! Sunday usually stalks his way up to about a foot away from his dinner and then hits it too fast for my eye to see, I just feel a bump on the tongs and hear a bang, that`s it. I think "Formidable" is a good word for these guys...

Re: My Blood Pythons
I took a shot of my big grumpy Blood python yesterday to show the guy I bought him from, he`s such a biffer now ! He`s such a handful I can`t imagine a small alligator would be any more difficult to wrangle, he`s THAT difficult to deal with lol Here he is with my phone for scale. The female is getting there too, I`ll be able to breed her in a few years.....

Re: My Blood Pythons
He`s impossible to measure obviously but I suppose he`s over four feet. Thickness wise he`s thinker than my arms, he`s about as thick as the thickest part of your lower leg. The little female I`m growing on is making excellent progress too, she`s really getting big! She`s on small rats and the big one gets a large rat sometimes followed by another large rat that someone else has refused lol Yup, he`s the snake room hoover, that was his destiny lol ;D

Re: My Blood Pythons
Those are really beautiful snakes but I don`t think I`ll ever have one. Too big ! I don`t think it`s the sort of thing you can have if you want a load of other snakes too, no rom ! Besides, they scare me just a little those things lol a fourteen foot Boa is big enough for me I think thankyoo!
