Re: Raith's new digs
Barnecks are classified in the "Big Boy" section, specimens have been known to attain 20 feet+ though around 14ft +/- is more of an average. Though they reach very lengthy sizes, they are not as thick as Burms or Retics, still they are very sizable and extremely strong. on an interesting note in Scrubs it is the Males that attain the large sizes, females generally stay smaller.
I'm not sure how much experience you have with snakes, but these guys are not for the weak of heart, they are fast, aggressive, and beligerant, definitely not something for people who haven't delt with large aggressive snakes before, they are beautiful though and worth the effort.
Hope that helps!

Re: Raith's new digs
Well ive been looking for a couple more snakes and those seem like really awsome ones. Ive got a 4 1/2 red tail boa. And a 4 foot amazon tree boa. I might look at trying to get a baby scrub. But if they get that big then a burm would be the same just a bit calmer. Was also looking at a yellow anaconda too. Thanks for the info. I will keep looking

Re: Raith's new digs
they are really fun to work with, but not for everyone... a lot people get them and then after being railroaded a couple of time they are looking to off-load them. LOL I love 'em....but I've been told I'm not the most "sane" person around either. LOL

Re: Raith's new digs
If the people that I go through can get them, I might just get one anyway I like a challange also if they arent' way way to expensive. It will be either this guy or a Albino burm. Might have to flip a coin Thanks for all the help/advise.

Re: Raith's new digs
Well Ive ordered an Albino Burmese, I will pick him up Friday. The people I go through cant get the Bar Neck Scrub. I was wondering if you knew any place that would ship one? Cant seem to find anything on google about buying one. Its kind of risky because I cant look the snake over before I get it, but I really want one now. LoL Still cant wait to get my burm in. Going to have alot of fun with him.

Re: Raith's new digs
Scrubs are a harder species to come by.....but you are in luck! LOL I've been on a waiting list for most of this year for a Female Barneck, and Dave just had a clutch of beautiful true captive bred barnecks....here's a link to his site
Komodo Reptiles
Better jump on it though, barnecks especially C.B ones are a rare occurance, I've already got my female reserved.
Burms are fun too, got a couple of those myself! LOL
