Is he eating frozen / thawed mice yet? That's the best way to feed mice to your snake.

Sometimes they take a while to get acustomed to eating a dead mouse so live mice must be used. I would feed my young BP a live fuzzy/hopper and then follow up with a dead small adult.

The live one was to get him into feeding mode while not being dangerous to him. Once in feeding mode he will usually eat the bigger dead mouse right after.

After a few feedings like that he will usually take a dead adult.

Also...if you can get rats then you could feed him those. Same size rules apply...about the same girth as the fattest part of the snake's body. When he's older it will have to be 2-4 mice or a big rat per feeding so you could get him started on young rats now if you want. Nothing wrong with feeding mice his whole life though...as long as he's getting enough to eat.

yup hes eating frozen hoppers. That is what a lot of people in here and on the intenret recommend. So I guess my next step will be a an adult mouse.
i'll keep you guys posted.
