Regardless of what people had "understood"...the main focus of Ken's post is to give a heads up on people trying to pass Borneos as Blacks. Thanks for the info Ken. I know that with myself starting to "get my feet wet" with Borneos, Bloods, and Sumatrans I will keep my eye out and make sure what I am purchasing is really what it is being advertised as.

I'm just planning to bring some in from NERD when they have some available. At least then I know for sure, ya know?

Hey,
I don't disagree with Ken, and I think that he understands that. My point was not meant to refute his point about vendors reputing to be selling blacks or borneo's as something other. My intention was meant to highlight what I thought was a misconception about eye color and nothing more. I completely agree with the aforementioned statement about disreputable dealers.

A lot of times it's not even the dealers. Sometimes it's the initial exporters from Malaysia, which I believe to be the cause of the mislabelled black bloods in north america.

I don't see why everyone was picking on Ken...It clearly states USUALLY. It's not his fault if people overlook that word.

And I'm still looking forward to pics as my better half is looking into a blood or borneo or black...not sure yet hehe

They're ALL amazing Jenn. A little more advanced though, since bloods aren't very big on warnings and such. When they've had enough handling or attention, they pretty much skip the hissing and posturing and just nail ya, hehehe

*giggles* My amazon is the same. He'll just be there one second and then all of a sudden, I've been bitten. Part of her charm

I personally like Black Bloods like Tony's but I think the better half prefers just the normal reds and also borneos. And since it's his first snake (with me there to take care of it lol) it's his choice.

I think he'll be looking at the sept pcpc expo. I know Corey Woods will have bloods and borneos and grant has some bloods. I'm excited hehe

Hey,
I agree, those little ones can be devilish! but so darn cute. I have a male that when he was a babe in the woods, wood nail me at every opportunity. I tried my best to minimize those said opportunties, but he just had the master plan cornered and nailed me everytime he felt like it. Now, he's a darling and a big old baby. Always a pleasure to work with and take out for his soaks and cage cleaning; not to mention feeding.

Note: One more thing, I personally was not picking on Ken, he's a fellow blood keeper and a devout one at that. I respect Ken for his knowledge and his dedication to bloods and short-tails and would never attack Ken in a bad light. He's one of the good guys!

Thanks Angel. I knew there were no attacks happening here, except by headdown. The whole "stick to your corns" thing was low... but hilarious at the same time.

Yeah well opinions are like @ss holes everyones got one and I find you quite hilarious Ken Mr. buy and sell. How long have you actually kept a particular specimen. I started my research on bloods nearly ten years ago and got my first three years ago, that I still own plus I've added five more to my collection since then that all still reside with me so there you have it. And no Ken i won't keep my head down and my mouth shut I for one live in the real world and call BS when I see it. I've been around these forums for a few years and have seen you aquire then get rid of then aquire then get rid of and so on...

Do shut up headdown, like really lol it's pathetic. Ken has kept many bloods, done his research and he knows what he's talking about; so enough. And was the "stick with your corns Ken." comment necessary? Why would you say that??

Ken, It really would be a good deed done to bring in some TRUE blacks from NERDS. We really need some of them here in Canada

Agreed, Ken is one of the most knowledgable people I've talked to in the community. And it would be awesome if he can bring some blacks into canada.

And who the heck are you headdown to be picking on him? From what I see, you're a newbie to these forums, you probably don't even know Ken for that matter and therefore have no right to be as you put it "calling BS" when you "see it."

Well I guess this sort of thing is the reason I left this forum a long time ago, and just recently came back with a new user name, so no, I am not a "newbie" to these forums. I was in no way "picking on" Ken, at my age I don't see picking on people necessary, I just like to point out the facts, and yes I have met Ken a few times at a few different shows, and as for the "sticking to corns" comment, I only said that as he was the one that told me (at a show) that the only thing he had bred was corns, and now I've seen he's recently produced some nice blue beauties, and I do congratulate him on those. And I also agree that some nice blacks would be great being brought into Canada, I'm just waiting for some babies that are expected to be produced in Canada in the near future. Anyways have a great evening ya'all.

Actually, my first successful breeding was king snakes, so I don't know where you got that I said I've only bred corns. And just because I haven't bred a certain species doesn't mean I don't know anything about them. I've had plenty of adults that I could have bred, but for various reasons chose not to. And so what if I buy and sell? Does that make me a bad person? I buy, sell, trade, and keep the specimens/species that I like the most. Sometimes I sell things I'd really rather not so I can get something I want very badly. But I don't even know why I'm justifying myself to you - you're a pathetic little weasel who just wants to start crap on an online forum (real mature there pal), and I won't get suckered into it. Why did you change your name? My guess is you're hiding behind an alias because you're afraid someone might find out who you are and then you'll have a harder time starting crap.
