If you're going to wait until you're 25 years old until you get a giant, you've got a lot of years ahead of you to decide what you want and what would be best for you. I'm 6'7" and weigh 230 lbs and I'm even questioning my ability to handle an 18 foot snake by myself.

Even a snake that seems tame is not necessarily tame. I've got a boa that has been very tame and last week got pissy and struck at me. Never got me, but sure tried.

You'll probably haveyour hands full at your age with a 5 foot boa in a year or 2. Best of luck with it though. A 4 x 2 x 2 emclosure is planty big enough for a male boa to.

Why dont you worry about building this big cage for your boa before thinking about another large boid......6x2x2 is plenty.

If you really are 11...I'm not trying to discourage you but not only will feeding a boa that will get "7-12ft" going to cost a ton.....but how can you afford food for a larger boid also? I'm not trying to put you down or anything at all, just trying to point out some things to keep in mind.

Reading your post you obviously do not sound mature enough for a reptile, you are eleven years old, how do you plan to care for a reptile of this size? I highly doubt you are posting in regards to a snake which you are purchasing in over 10 years. Stop it with the smilies.

what i am saying is when i am older and can offord more than one large boid what could be a good pick.
and i love my animals i clean cages every 3 days a get clean water that is sterilized every day i even go to the extent of well... whats the word for it . any way i have raised boas be fore and had some luck with them growing them to 8 feet in 2 years. only feeding them a jumbo rat every 2 weeks. it died the day i was going to have to swith to rabbits. i know what it is like to care and andle large boas from the age of 8 - 10 i had boas
and a corn that i dont know what happened. well one day he was regurgitating water and i call the vet andhe said it was normal so i belleived him next day the snake was dead> king refused to eat for me. so i currently have a 2 + year old 3 foot garter snake and a one month old 22inch columbian red tail boa dominant male.

Dude where are you geting these numbers 25 foot cages and such.
I don't care how knowlegable you think you are no army of Atoms or pirates will save you from any of the above listed animals when they decide to go ape s$#!T on you.
You're sitting in a 25 foot cage with a 15 foot snake. I will bet big money that you will get yours handed to ya on a plate.

Keep your snakes in proper manageable cages I have worked with 12 X 2 X 1,5 cages and that was more than enough space needed.
An 8 foot female Boa can live comfortably in a 4 X 2 X 1,5 and a 6 foot male can live just fine in a properly sized Rubbermaid.
I could see if you were a Zoo and had that kind of space and was trained to move around such a large cage without looking like prey. LOL!!
Maybe then such a large cage would be good.

Wait till you are at least 20. Leave the big snakes alone you will get yourself or a loved one hurt or worst killed by your lack of experience. When you are 20 your Boas will be quite large and you will have an Idea of how big a Giant can truely be.

In closing I will not suggest any of the listed giants for you as a starter and I encourage the rest of the community to follow my example. Get some Jungle Carpet Pythons, Brazilian Rainbow Boas, Hog Island Boas get into ball python morphs slowly you have the time and in time you will Have the money.

holy $#!@.. give it up with all that crap..

no one can tell you if you can start a breeding business.. its up to you... do you have money time ect ect.. everything must be housed sepratly after birth and breeding.. so do you have room.. work on what you have now.. get into the hobby.. start small and work your way up..

but for most of all stop it with thoes damn smilies

there is NO WAY you are ready for a giant. IMO youre not even ready for a boa. you can not treat any snake over five foot as being a "pet" and "tame". they can be nice one day and total monsters the next day. it looks like the past snakes you have kept that you say have given you "experience" werent very healthy. now im not saying you were the cause of their unhealthiness but i think you should first see if you can keep your boa and garter snake healthy for a while before you even think about breeding anything. just my $0.02.

ok. should i just keep doing live for my bos because it takes forever when i try f/t and i can barley get the mouse in the cage when it is alive. plus live is alot cheaper where i live

i would definetly feed f/t if it will take it. just get a f/t mouse/rat and dangle it in front of your boa's face(not with your hands of course) to aggitate it and it should take it. live may be cheaper but the rodent could end up harming your boa.
