how to "stick" heat tape in incubator?

must be the particular brand of tape or something... the heat tape that I had stuck on the bottom of the incubator was fine, but the heat tape that I stuck on the back wall all came down to the floor hehe... I've got it all setup right now with thumb-tacs and everything seems to be great... currently testing the temps, if there's any layering, etc... so far it's going ok, once I'm done I'll post pictures 'n' stuff.
