wow, congrats on the egg. The longest i've managed to keep hatchling phants going was 3 1/2 months. I had some high hopes for 2 little guys last summer, but I had to leave them with a friend while I was out of town and they didn't make it. Best of luck, we definitely need more c.b. uros up here.
well, just tried to candle the egg....lol....my fingers are so big compared to this little thing, I was shaking trying to not drop it. Needless to say, I didn't quite get the job done, but the egg itself looks good. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on the cause) I caught a little hairy mold growth on the tip of the egg and I also noticed that I had put waaaaaaay too much water in the vermiculite under the sponge, so I'm hoping this is the cause as I just corrected it. If excess moisture is not the cause, then I may have one great looking infertile egg.....but only time will tell I guess.
