Everything is going pretty good, having a bit of a hard time finding many collectors in the area but i've joined the NS Herp Atlas (local society).
As for me being a wussy, I don't think there's an animal alive that i'm afraid of, except maybe humans, lol.
Agression doesn't bother me too much as long as they can be brought out of it, not hoping for something with a rock pythons temper ![Smilie](http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif) at least not anytime soon.
As far as your LTC's if your looking for CB (guaranteed CB) Mike at Boa-Mania's got some, planning on getting mine from him sometime in the new year.
My only worry of agression is I have 2 kids (Homo Sapien, lol) not too worried about getting bitten myself, but as long as I can tame them down it shouldn't be a problem.
What do you find works best for humidity, I know they require high humidity. (Large bathing pool/moist towels/etc.)
I'm aware of the safety factors involved especially when they reach their full size, probably not a good idea to handle an adult in an empty house when nobody's around. And know about the "SFE" stupid feeding errors, and what to avoid with any large size constrictor. Have a B.C.I. so have a basic understanding of what to expect.
Thanks a lot for your help Grant, I'll keep you posted and cI can't wait till I get pics of her up here (when i finally get her).

Glad to hear everythings going well.
If you get a hatchling, your guranteed to have a tame snake within a little while. Whether CB or Wc. you just have to put in a lil more handling if its wc.
Borneos really dont get that big IMO. Infact, Bloods dont even get that big IMO.
They get girthy, but the shortness of them really minus' out them being considered "BIG".
You would be surprised how small my bloods actually are.
Even my bigest one is kept in a 3x2 comfortably.
However, im building all 4 x 2's just to give em a little bit more room.
The average blood attains the length of a large ball python and there girth is only double to triple BP's.
So really, ur lookin at one awsome sized snake.
Humididty wise, im havin a hell of a time keeping it steady right now, with winter and all, and its constant spraying, seeing that i dont really have space to put a massive water bowl in.
Your really gonna have to decide whats best for yourself.
Play around with things beginning with whatever season you get them in and go from there.
i dont use hides in my enclosures, so i dont use a damp hide box.
I rely on multiple sprayings, a water bowl, melamine, and low ventilation, but enough to keep them healthy.
i wouldn't move them out of rubbermaids until need be. IMO
By the time they turn into large adults, ull already be reading them easily and youll know what to look for, agression wise, health, etc...
One thing though.
When bloods/borneos/blacks get sick., it is very hard to turn them around.
Thats there only draw back, so i would reccomend having there enclosures set up and functioning properly a ways before you acquire them.

This is an adult blood.
Not the prettiest, but u get the idea of there size.
However, this is a shot of him totally straight, and we all know how a small looking snake can look very huge once actually straightned out.
And ofcourse the norm for a borneo is to stay smaller.
And, yes, mike and monica do have some nice borneos.
What are you waiting for??!?!?!?! lol

Wow, that's a beaut, and you're right it's quite a bit smaller than I thought it would be, the only bloods i've ever seen have been hatchlings. I guess the reason behind my thinking they were bigger was a barron's book I have (general book on python sp.)
and going on borneos usually being smaller I don't think the other half will have a problem with me getting one. We've been discussing it ( usually I just bring new herps home but I think she's getting jealous of my hobby, lol ) so I've agreed to run all future purchases by her first. If she disagrees (doubtfull) I'll just have to sneak it in and wait for her to notice on her own. I just can't resist seeing a beautifully patterned/colored snake and bringing it home. I think everyone here knows how it is
I've already got a custom mellamine built for it, 4X2X2 and I can't wait to see a fat little blood in it.
