Holes in the back of the shell? Someone was trying to leash him. It was a comman practise back in the "dark" ages to drill a hole insert a line on hook so your tort wouldn't wonder off. People suck. Hopefully everyone knows better now a days. I know how much work they can be I have a "few" myself. They are a lot more time consuming then a snake! But worth it. Speaking of I should go clean some water dishes!
