Your best bet would be to skip the species if you can't provide optimum conditions.

THATS HARSH THAT WOULD BE ONE AWSOME SETUP.
darn caps lol
I wish winnipeg had better weather, but i am still thinking about building out door cages for the summer. It gets pretty hot here on the praries. But then extremely cold in the winter .
I have the perfect sopt in my back yard that gets sun all day.
Was planning to just build a cage around an existing tree in my back yard. Ill have to obviously check to see if its safe or not first.

Mybe you could try something like that alejandro. PUt tall 7' spikes into the gound, and burry a peice of wood going about a foot down around the perimeter to keep out wild animals. And wrap the spikes with galvanized messing, or some other rust proof material. OF course you will need to add some supports for structure but i think it should end up being a really nice set up.
Put a lock on the bugger so no one steals this one.
good luck

are there any chameleons native to your area? If so those would be nothing but perfect.
There are lot of species from madagascar that like warm climates, cant name any off the top of my head.
