you can make your own CO2 very easily......one method is mixing baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and vinagar or you can use dry ice wich you can find at welding shops or companys which make bags of ice for mabye 2$ a pound......Lucas

How much vinegar and how much baking soda in the mix is sufficient to kill 6 medium sized rats in the container?

I don't play paintball and i didn't knew that paintball uses CO2 bottles...

Btw, i made a small research and those bottles are quite expensive €37 for the bottle with the tap on top of it.

Baking soda and vinegar seems fine to me. All it needs a little practice to decide

Yikes!! Put out that cigarette!
I recommend NOT using combustible gas for obvious reasons.
I think that might be classified as a bomb, and while it might be effective, snakes prefer their rodents (and keepers) in one piece

EEK butane, propane, etc will kill the rodents, but they may also affect the snakes! Looking at your setup it would easily converge to be used as a CO2 chamber, safer for the rodents, safer for YOU, and safer for the reptiles. Here is an easy to follow link which works excellent. I have used this method several times and as well as working efficiently, it is considered a humane way of euthanizing rodents by several veterinary associations globally.

Good luck http://www.alysion.org/euthanasia/
