I just thaw a bunch and offer the smaller snakes the smaller rats. I don't weigh them or anything like that, I just eye-ball it.

I actually weigh all my rodents before I feed them, as well as weighing all my snakes before they are fed. OCD rules!!!

I weigh my snakes as well before feeding, but my snakes that are 1300g and up all eat 300 - 500 g rats! My little 500g snakes eat 100g rats or mice. I feel like i'm underfeeding my picky mouse eaters when 400g snake only eats a 40g mouse but according to the 10% method they should be fine? If I offered Whiplash or Recoil a 100g rat I'm sure I'd get a "Where the heck is the rest of it" look along with a tag if I tried to take them out without offering at least one more! LOL. Also in my case my largest adults, Recoil, Whiplash, and Briseas all eat 300g + rats and every so often Whiplash and Briseas will not eat one meal other wise they all eat every 7 days. Recoil has never refused a meal for me though and when I had only 100 - 200 g rats he would take 2 in a heartbeat.

Wow, now that is nuts. So say your largest female is 2000 grams and she'll eat four 400 grams rats per month; she could be 4000 grams by the time she lays this season. That is a sick growth rate. I thought 150g/month growth was great but 500g/month is insane.
