defrosted it
How?

My late friend also gave me a floor lamp that the snake would wrap around, so the snake was there this morning and I dangled the rat in front of it and he/she took itno problems.
You should feed him in his cage because handling after feeding can cause the snake to regurgate it's food and as I'm sure you read above if an Emerald regurgatates it can be the end of your snake.

Also, I couldn't get it off the lamp after he ate, so I just left him there while I went to work.
This is bad because you could lose you snake very easily. Also the temp and humidity probably are not where they need to be for it while it just hangs there on this light.

If you haven't read that article I attached you should it's the best one on ETB care I have ever read. If you have any questions about it please ask.
Cheers,
Trevor

I can guarantee that the snake hasn't moved an inch. The only tim eit moves is when I come near it. It usually wants to get paicked up, but like you said, since it just ate, it probably wanted to stay still.
Before he passed, my friend left the snake there for days at a time.
Thanks for the answers to my questions though.
Oh yeah, is it normal for these snakes to yawn? Or is it just stretching its jaw?

Yes yawning is normal. Some people think it's ok to put the rodent in the microwave so I had to ask. It's a pretty common mistake.

Well all I can to that is your friend didn't keep his Emerald the way kept mine or the way most people keep them for that matter. It's not a practice I would recomend, however if the snake is health and sounds to be full grown than I guess it's not causing any problems. Certainly though not something I would ever do with any of my snakes.
So any pics of this beauty yet or what?
Cheers,
Trevor

Thanks again for the help.

It really is pretty. I think it;s a she because 'she' is so pretty. Bright bright green with white all down her back. I think i'll call her Maude. She was called fang, but that's how smart tighrope walkers are. Or were....

Well there has been some horror stories about emeralds... Its a little like having a little pitbull. It might be very nice during all it's life, if it ever bites you once, you'll never come even close to forgetting it!!! People don't try to scare others about gettings ETBs, they're just saying we should be careful.

phil.
