Ha ha Simon. These eggs are HUGE and they were all stuck together in a clump, so I won't be missing any, LOL!

I'll put the nest box into full-effect next year, but this year is too risky to change everything. I like the fact that I can reach in and quickly grab ALL the eggs without the adult female biting me or making a quick get-away, LOL!

Cheers. Oh, and 11 was the FINAL total.

Hondos RULE!

Jeff,

Yup I agree with you. Its a bit too risky to change anything right now. Just incase it doesn't get use to the new place or a new nest box.

You're afriad of a hondo bite.....yeah right...you have all these big snakes (well at least bigger than the hondos) and you're scared of a hondo bite....

Hopefully next year you'll be able to get great results from the nesting boxes~~

Very Nice! Congrats.
See, she used it didn't she Jeffer! The extra eggs was her way of saying thanks for the "dope crib!" LOL
What I sometimes do with the large snakes is simply fill an entire identical tray with spaghnum, and just cycle that in and out of the rack from one snake to another as laying approaches. After they lay, collect the eggs, then put their usual tray back and the egg tray goes to the next due or back into the closet for next year.

Brainiac! Why didn't you tell me that BEFORE! Ha ha. Ok, I'll try that in 2006.
